Events e Culture
The cultural life of the city of Molfetta lives all year long in well-established and expected events.
For children there is the Festival of Children’s Theater “Ti fiabo e ti racconto”, organized by Teatrermitage, now in its twentieth edition. For music lovers, the exhibition “Lights and Sounds in Levante” by the Foundation Vincenzo Maria Valente brings to the city the likes of Patti Smith, Sting, Pino Daniele, Goran Bregovic and Manu Chao.
Contemporary art lives at the Torrione Passari with events organized by the Cultural Artistic Association and its curator Giacomo Zaza, and at the new Cittadella degli Artisti. At the Diocesan Museum there is no shortage of conferences, book presentations and meetings organized by the Co-op. FeArT. The theater scene is very active with companies performing in the vernacular (“Dino La Rocca”, “Il Borgo Vecchio”, “Il Torchietto,”Il Circolo”) and performances of contemporary theater with Il Carro dei Comici and the associations Malalingua and Arterie Teatro, which also offers classes. The Teatro dei Cipis finds its place on the playbills with a program dedicated to children.
Theater, music, art-house cinema and dance are also presented at Spaziolearti, a cultural and creative workshop. Cultural associations live in the talents of the young and the mature wisdom of the veterans.
La Voce di Sant’Andrea specializes in organizing nights dedicated to food, music and art and the Consortium Polje, which includes Pro Loco, Archeoclub, Ictius, Legambiente, Wwf and Terrae, promotes the appreciation of historic monuments and ancient traditions. So many activities, so many opportunities to discover the beauty of Molfetta!
You just have to stop by and enjoy the show!
